This is a great storage bed for my 10 year old. The drawers are perfect to stash his sports stuff and wii accessories. Assembly was very easy and only involves attaching the footboard and headboard. They can be reversed so the drawers are on the side that works for your room layout. On my set, one of the nuts that was in the wood and designed to hold the headboard bolt on was loose. The piece is being replaced by the company.
Given the great price, I was totally pleased at the nice quality and ease of assembly. The only drawback is that there is so much lost space on the side without drawers. It is a totally enclosed base. I wish that there were a small access door on the footboard so that we could store long items like hockey sticks though I think that would compromise the stability and also the reversal of theheadboard and footboard.
In all, it's a great bed and it's nice and high so that my tall boy doesn't feel like he's sitting in a kittle kids bed anymore.
